Smart Building Solutions designs, supplies, and supports smart building systems for luxury residential and commercial
projects. We focus on lighting control, shading, climate, access, luxury keypads, KNX, DALI, Casambi, and
open-standard automation.
Who do you work with?
We work with homeowners, architects, interior designers, builders, developers, electricians, and technology integrators.
We can support projects from early design and product selection through commissioning and aftercare.
Where are you located?
Our showroom and training center is located in Las Vegas, Nevada. Visitors can see real KNX, DALI, Casambi, lighting,
shading, keypad, and AV integrations working together.
Technology
What is KNX?
KNX is an open standard for home and building automation. It allows lighting, shading, climate, sensors, and other
systems to work together through one reliable control infrastructure.
What is DALI?
DALI is a lighting control standard used for dimming, grouping, and managing lighting fixtures. It is commonly used for
architectural lighting, tunable white, and professional lighting control.
What is Casambi?
Casambi is a wireless lighting control platform based on Bluetooth Low Energy. It is often used for flexible lighting
control, retrofits, and design-focused projects where wiring may be limited.
Why do open standards matter?
Open standards reduce dependency on one manufacturer. They give the project more product choice, easier long-term
serviceability, and better flexibility for future upgrades.

Can you help during the design phase?
Yes. Smart Building Solutions can assist with system planning, product selection, cable schedules, control concepts, lighting control,
shading integration, and coordination with the project team.
Can I visit the showroom before choosing a system?
Yes. A showroom visit is recommended. It allows you to experience real products, keypads, lighting scenes, shading
systems, and control interfaces before making project decisions.
Products
Do you sell products online?
Yes. Smart Building Solutions offers curated smart building products and components. For project-based systems, we recommend
contacting Smart Building Solutions first to confirm compatibility, specification, and availability.
Do KNX devices need to be UL listed?
For U.S. projects, requirements depend on the device type, voltage, application, and local code interpretation.
Line-voltage devices generally require appropriate listing. Low-voltage devices may be treated differently. Smart Building Solutions can help
review product options, but final approval should come from the local authority having jurisdiction.
Training
Is your KNX training certified?
Yes. Smart Building Solutions offers KNX training through its Las Vegas training center. Training options may include certified and hands-on
practical courses depending on schedule and participant needs.
Orders & Support
What is your return policy?
Return terms depend on the product type, condition, and supplier/manufacturer rules. Standard stocked items may be

How long does shipping take?

3D Scanning
What is a digital twin?
An exact 3D copy of your home, office or building. We create it on site with our Matterport Pro3 camera. You can walk through it online, measure rooms and share it with one link.
How much does a 3D scan cost?
The price depends on the size and type of the property. Homes start at $249, business spaces and construction sites at $450. Hosting and travel beyond 10 miles are added. See your exact price and book online on the Your Digital Twin page.
How do I prepare my property for the scan?
Please have the space ready when we arrive: open all doors and blinds, turn on all lights, clear counters and tables, put away personal items, move cars out of the way if they should not be in the scan, and keep pets and people out of the rooms. If the space is not ready, waiting time or a second visit is charged extra.
How long does a scan take, and when is my digital twin ready?
A home of about 2,500 square feet takes 1 to 2 hours on site. Your 3D tour is online within 48 hours. Floor plans and files for architects take 2 to 5 business days.
Do you also take drone photos?
Yes. With our DJI Mini drone we add aerial photos and views of the outside of your property, where flying is allowed.
