Technology
What is KNX?
KNX is an open standard for home and building automation. It allows lighting, shading, climate, sensors, and other
systems to work together through one reliable control infrastructure.
What is DALI?
DALI is a lighting control standard used for dimming, grouping, and managing lighting fixtures. It is commonly used for
architectural lighting, tunable white, and professional lighting control.
What is Casambi?
Casambi is a wireless lighting control platform based on Bluetooth Low Energy. It is often used for flexible lighting

Can you help during the design phase?

Can I visit the showroom before choosing a system?
Yes. A showroom visit is recommended. It allows you to experience real products, keypads, lighting scenes, shading
systems, and control interfaces before making project decisions.
Products
Do you sell products online?
Yes. SBS offers curated smart building products and components. For project-based systems, we recommend
contacting SBS first to confirm compatibility, specification, and availability.
Do KNX devices need to be UL listed?
For U.S. projects, requirements depend on the device type, voltage, application, and local code interpretation.
Line-voltage devices generally require appropriate listing. Low-voltage devices may be treated differently. SBS can help
review product options, but final approval should come from the local authority having jurisdiction.
Training
Is your KNX training certified?
Yes. SBS offers KNX training through its Las Vegas training center. Training options may include certified and hands-on
practical courses depending on schedule and participant needs.
