Control Concept.

Paddington Gardens is a high-specification residential development near Marylebone in West London. The automation concept gives residents simple, intuitive control of lighting, motorized blinds, underfloor heating, fan-coil cooling, and MVHR ventilation — all through KNX infrastructure, Zennio Z41 local touchscreens, and cloud-based app control. Smart Building Solutions provided consulting, system design, and product specification to ensure every apartment in this large-scale development was delivered to a consistent standard: elegant in use, efficient in operation, and built on an open KNX platform that protects the investment long-term.

Solution

A KNX-based system was specified for every home, using JUNG LS990 F50 stainless steel keypads and Zennio Z41 touchscreen controllers. Lighting, underfloor heating, MVHR ventilation, and Vaillant boiler integration were all connected through one open-standard platform.

Result

Every residence in the development was delivered to the same specification — elegant control interfaces, integrated climate management, and a cloud app for remote access. Residents experience genuine comfort from day one, with a system that is easy to use and simple to expand.
